goTenna is creating peer-to-peer communications systems — no towers, routers, or satellites required. The first product is a device that pairs with smartphones, enabling users to connect directly via text using RF (radio frequency). The company was born out of Jorge's needs for communication at crowded music festivals and Daniela's needs during Hurricane Sandy. People use goTenna to communicate during outdoor activities, travel, events, emergencies, and any other off-grid adventure.
